My first real encounter with the dentist

Had my bad wisdom tooth extracted, Thursday 11.15am. Cost a bomb!! Luckily can use medisave. Check out the tooth in the middle and the medicines I have to take...

As all my friends know, I hate going to the doctors, esp if they are called dentists. Well, it had to be so painful right for me to actually bring myself (or GG had to drag me) to get to one. However, the dentist was a very nice lady, who explained the procedures carfeully before she had it done and she was kind enough to keep on reassuring me that there wouldn't be any pain during the whole process. She failed to mention though that it would be painful after the process, but well, I guess it was kind of expected. Anyway after seeing the x-rayed diagram of how my wisdom tooth was mischieviously growing, I made an on-the-spot decision to take it out plus I had external pressure from my dear GG. Before the whole thing, she numbed the whole left area. I felt retarded as I couldn't seem to feel my left cheek and tongue and lower left lip. The cool thing was, when I drank cold milo, I only felt the coldness on the right side of the tongue, and also only tasted the milo on the right side. On the left, it just felt like water was gliding through, no taste, no feeling of the cold milo. Cool rite?? Ok that was the only cool thing.

After half an hour, it was time for my "surgery". It was just extraction coz my tooth was growing towards my normal teeth, so no way she can just pull it out without affecting the rest, so she had to cut off. Sounds painful yah. I couldn't feel much, but I heard all the sounds going through my mouth, the sawing sound, the cracking sound. Scary enough. After the whole thing, I got 3 stitches. So proud of myself, this time around, I didn't run out of the dentist office like I did many many years back. I think I deserve a sweet. ;p But right now, my left side is swollen, looks like I am fat on one side. Hehe. But I have been a good girl and have religiously been taking my medication, I wouldn't want any infection man. And I think if I don't take the painkillers, I am sure it would be damn painful.
