Family Camp

The long weekend was a packed one, what with the family camp that was organised... Held at Pasir Ris Park from Friday night to Monday (which was Xmas). Yah and everyone that I informed of the camp asked why camp during the rainy season, but well my uncle said that rainy season is the time to go camping. Well, rain or not, I got tanned and a few of the actually got sunburnt... Really!! But it was fun. Well yeah, during the course of the camp, I went away twice to the airport to send off people, drove around Pasir Ris in search of places to buy the logistics stuff that was needed, petrol stations (where are all the petrol stations in Pasir Ris???). Definitely, I am so not an East person. But at least now I get to know a few routes here and there. Ah well, how often do I need to go there anyway...

On Saturday and Sunday, the other aunties and cuzzies came down. It was really a family quality time together. Only some people don't believe in it. Saturday night was spent with the gals, who had organised a lovely surprise for Nana who is going to be a bride soon. Sorry I couldn't contribute much except for my presence. Sunday, me and my bro had to drive back for a wedding which we literally did nothing for a whole day.. But I realise that I have a hot relative. Muahahah... Went back to the campsite at nite. By the way, our campsite is complete, with a kitchen, dining table, 4 tents for the guys, girls, the 2 sisters, and Busu's family and 3 hammocks... We even had a "sink" area. Plus, the toilet is jus a 1/2 minute walk away. And you have the whole sea right in front to bathe in.. Anyway, somehow people have this problem with infringing into the comfort zone. People are happily walking through our campsite like as if we were not there. No doubt it is a public space but the park was big enough for one to walk around our campsite, at least a comfortable distance away. There was a point that my uncle actually scolded a group of guys for spitting. Already you are walking through people's campsite and one of them actually spit right in front of us. But yah, that's just a story of the mannerisms of some people.

Monday came and we had to pack up... Packing up was definitely more difficult than setting up. Tents to clean before folding up because they were damn muddy, rubbish to clear and things to be packed and loaded into the cars. We made a few trips to bring everything plus the people back to Busu's house. We ended quite late and had dinner at Busu's. Was supposed to koin Jiej but couldn't make it lah, sorry Jiej, dah penat giler... Balik terus pengsan. Woke up with an aching body, and no mood to go office.. Heh. It was indeed a packed weekend. In fact, on top of these happy moments, there were unhappy events that resulted from all these. I shall not elaborate but I still don't get why it is such a big hoo-haa.. It's not as if what we did was so bad, or even bad at all. I mean it is really unfair for us coz there is no reasonable reasons nor explanations for whatever was so wrong about the whole thing. Just when I thought that everything was better around here, it comes back and slap me in the face. Sigh...

Last note to all, Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha to all my dearest Muslim friends and a good year ahead of us. I already had my goal setting talk with my manager.
